for me....& for Brie

I had the fish on my ankle fixed on Brianna's birthday. Several years ago I got 2 fish tattooed around my ankle. I have always wanted to finish it but the pain kept me at bay. I thought this year for her birthday this would be a great idea ~Brie had several tattoos and the last time I saw her she joked about me not finishing the work on my ankle.

The first side was done~ didn't hurt too bad
This is the second side~
Can you see Brianna's NAME in the fish??
The tattoo artist SHANE said the "R" was already there and her name fit perfectly. I think it was meant to be this way... Thanks to family that came with me and thanks to family who gave me TEXT support.

We talked about how Brie was prob laughing at me wrenching in pain~ it has been several days and it is healing nicely~ My teenager was super proud of his cool Mom honoring her sister in such a crazy fashion.

Halloween and Yo Gabba Gabba

Halloween was a success as you can tell.  Lyla was a princess ballerina.  Violet was a ghost, and Rory was a Strawberry.  I recycled the skeleton sweatshirt this Halloween, and the girls made a haul in the candy department.  On Friday, we took the girls to see Yo Gabba Gabba's live show.  It was awesome.  They got hugs from Muno and got balloons that they dropped from the ceiling. We got to see Biz Markie and SHEL perform. It was so much fun. Go see Ashling Cottage to see a pic of our newly purchased car!

made it through the night!!!!!!!

I finished my 1st all night shift 9pm-5am!
Sooo tonight's shift should be easier because I actually slept today~ Gregg is making me pancakes and eggs for dinner/ breakfast~(the boys are super excited)
The overnight shift was actually not that bad~ people were coming and going in the building all night~ the REALLY hard part was around 10-12 the normal time I go to bed~ once it turned 2am it was smooth sailing~ I have 2 more nights of this and hopefully ROBERT never takes another vacation again hahaha~

Trunk OR Treat 2010

We have had lots of Halloween fun this year~ 4 nights of treats~ We had a wonderful time at our churches Trunk or Treat night. Then Thursday we had a huge party at Best Buy~ it was a wonderful time to show the boys where Mommy works and they got to have a RARE tour of the building. This tour doesn't happen very often because of the high security at our facility. We had a sleep over last night (Max's cousin Bransen and Zach's friend Colton) and Zach is having a huge SCARY TEENAGER PARTY tonight~ sort of glad I will be working teehee~

HAPPY HALLOWEEN~

Pumpkin Patch

I love Halloween so much, and one of my favorite Halloween rituals is going to pick out pumpkins. Tomorrow we are going to a pumpkin carving party.  It should be so much fun.  Plus, the hosts are providing us adults with homemade bread and beer they brewed themselves.  Yay! It should be a good time.  Mom found the cutest costume for Rory -- she is going to be a strawberry.  The costume is adorable.  We are all getting so excited for the big day. I think I read The Scary Godmother books a million times in one day.  Today, I think we will paint some small pumpkins we bought and make some ghosts to hang around the house. (i heart fall break!)

Happy 6 months and a ghostly vision

Aurora turned 6 months old yesterday!  We went to the park in the evening and then I came home and worked on Violet's ghost costume. It is definitely "homemade," but she loves it. I am just so happy I talked her out of being a zombie.  I told her she could be one when she got older. Thank goodness she was happy with that answer. Ha ha! Aurora has been a little cranky lately and her good sleeping pattern has flown out of the window, but this leads me to conclude that she is teething. I am looking forward to Fall break this week -- maybe I can get caught up on some grading.

Bath time...again

Here is another bath shot of Aurora.  She is almost 6 months (next week), which is totally baffling to me. She is making all kinds of noises, starting to really jump in her jumpythingee, and developing this jovial little attitude, always smiling and laughing.  She is just heart melting!
Violet has a little bit of a cold this week, but is just as amazing as ever.  She is getting so excited for halloween and has reported to me that she wants to be a "zombie."  Where in the heck did she learn what a zombie is???!!!! I have no idea.  Maybe at her kids day out school, but I am hoping she changes her mind before halloween.  Or maybe I can sway her towards something, but the "stubborn" force is strong with this one.
