COLLAR FREE

WE WENT TO THE DOCTOR TODAY AND HE SAID GREGG DOESN'T HAVE TO WEAR THE NECK COLLAR ALL THE TIME ANYMORE- AND THAT HE COULD START DRIVING AGAIN IF HE FEELS COMFORTABLE! YEEEHAAW!! THEY WERE VERY HAPPY WITH HIS RECOVERY AND HE WILL BE STARTING PHYSICAL THERAPY SOON. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY MAN AND PRAISE GOD THAT HE IS RECOVERING :)

Daddy's home!

We are so happy to say that the surgery went great! Gregg spent 2 days in the rehab hospital and we got to pick him up on Saturday! Now we are just waiting a couple weeks to make sure the bones fused in his neck then we can relax a little more.

The ladies at church brought me one large tub and 3 bags full of yarn!! I swear I will never have to buy yarn again!! Oh and they gave us several meals so I don't even have to think about cooking :)

We have all been super tired, it is all I can do to get up and throw dinner in the oven. I didn't realize I would be sooo exhausted! I think the stress has taken it's toll on all of us. I want to THANK everyone for their thoughts and prayers :)

October

Logan and Braden are hanging out in their fall colors :) Braden looks so much older but he is only a couple months older than Logan. We got all the Halloween Decorations out and we are ready :) I love this time of year there is a coolness in the air. Max's football games (pictures soon) are every Tuesday and Thursday!


Gregg's issue is much more serious than we expected. He is NOW wearing a neck brace, they found that his neck vertebrae is crushing his spinal cord. His spinal cord is very bruised and he needs up to 3 operations on his neck to fix this problem! The Doctor explained that this is very serious and he NEEDS to wear the neck brace 24/7 or he could hurt his neck and be paralyzed. Needless to say he is not a happy camper! So for Halloween WE are going to shave his head and he will be DARTH VADER (In Return of the Jedi) and maybe Logan and Max will be a lil Jedi's - we have lots of Light Sabers around this house.

NEW HAIR

IT IS SOOO SHORT BUT I THINK I AM GETTING TOO OLD FOR LONG HAIR :)

ALSO WE FOUND OUT THAT THE DOCTORS HAVE FOUND THE ISSUE WITH GREGG'S BACK AND WE HAVE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT IN OKC ON TUESDAY. THE NURSE TOLD ME HE WILL MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY.

Here are the sweet benefits to having Daddy around and on the floor :) Logan is constantly on the floor looking at comics or forcing him to read "ARE YOU MY MOTHER" again!
They hug an love each other all day. He is not going to like it when Daddy gets better and goes back to work!

We are going back to the CITY tomorrow to see another Doctor. Hopefully he can give us some answers and direction on what to do!

32 DAY

We were so lucky to get an early appointment in OKC today! We were even more lucky to have some company while at our appointment. Neena, Aunt Brie and lil Lyla bear came to watch Logan so I go talk with the Doctor. Apparently there will be many more tests in our future and many more doctor's appointments but we are one step closer to getting Daddy back on his feet. We are going back up to OKC next Tuesday to see another Neurologist. This appointment was actually a total blessing because the next appointment would have been at the end of October. THANK GOD we got this appointment next Tuesday!!! Thank you Mom and Brie for meeting us there and lunch was so much fun. Logan loves to make Lyla laugh. He is such a ham and she just thinks he is hilarious :)

30 DAYS or so we have lost count!!

We are all so tired of Daddy being in pain on the floor :(


We are super excited that he finally has a doctor's appointment tomorrow! Then another one in OKC on the 17th,as I feel like we need a second opinion!!!!!!

Hopefully his back will not need surgery! If he does we hope and pray that it will be an easy surgery and he recovers quickly. We are running out of games and movies to watch!

24 DAYS ON THE FLOOR!

We are sooooo ready for Daddy to get better. Logan puts on his hat and stands by the door!! I am so sick of WAITING- WAITING for the doctor's appointment, WAITING for a second opinion, WAITING for medicine to work, WAITING for surgery. We have watched every single movie we have and I went out last night and bought 4 more.

Rainy Saturday

I am preparing for Fall and today is the first cool day in weeks. I am loving how this camo yarn is turning into a nice scarf. I am trying to hurry and get this done so I can work on more leg warmers for other dancing nieces in California ;)


I don't talk about my hubby that much but I have known him for 7 years. He is a wonderful father to all my children and a kind loving husband. He is the strongest man I know and I love him VERY much. NOW I have to be strong for him. He hurt his back last March at work and his injury has only gotten worse. He now cannot straighten his legs or walk. The Doctor finally told us Thursday (after the 2nd MRI) that he will need surgery. We are going to get a second opinion as I have heard nothing but horror stories about back surgery. But he is in sooo much pain I just want him to feel better again. We are just praying that he will be back on his feet soon.
