boy cuts

It was so hard for me to cut off these lovely locks~ but at 21/2 years I guess it is time for the baby to have his hair cut :)


Max was actually very agreeable to having his hair cut today~ which is a switch

Ta Daa Logan is a Big Boy NOW!!

Max Looks so ADORABLE I love seeing his eyes :)

Zach however was not so agreeable this time~ He hates it long but doesn't like it short so....

I just LOVE Logan's BIG BOY hair cut~ I just can't believe how big he is getting :)

We didn't cut Zach's too much just thinned it out mostly and I think there was more hair on the floor than the other boys :)

1st day of school FINALLY arrived!

This school year started late as they were re-building the high school. I remember starting school in Sept. back in the old days ha! This year we hope & pray that it is a good one ~Max has Mrs. Wilson (she is the teacher he wanted) for 4th grade and Zachary is taking all kinds of wonderful college prep classes this year. I can't believe Zach is in 11th grade yes a Junior um... it is hard for me to even think about~ I am so happy that we are starting a new season of life I cannot express how difficult this summer was for me. Not only did I loose a friend and sister, there were broke down cars, cars on fire, flat tires, neck surgeries and ok I won't go on because... I am looking forward TODAY~ to difficulties and blessings that this new season will bring to us. Happy Fall and WELCOME back school :)

Welcome HOME

I am thrilled to have my boys home!! Zach has been playing with is early birthday present from G'ma Lyn and Papa- IPOD TOUCH for his 16th birthday what an awesome gift!!!!

I was also sooo happy to have my Mom and Lyla stay with us for a few days :) It is great to cook for them, take them to church with us, laugh, cry, go swimming and just being together was wonderful.

Logan and Lyla are sooo funny they remind me of my cousin Nat and Brie when they were little- It was so cute to see them play together, they laugh and laugh. Max is also so sweet with his little cousin and she just loves these big boys.

We miss you already- Logan was very sad and pouted for about 30 minutes after they left this morning.

beans beans the magical fruit

It is raining AGAIN, our car got caught in a flash flood on the way home from church yesterday ARRGGH! My Mother's day was interesting to say the least! So.... as I made my crock pot of beans for dinner today I couldn't get this song my Nana and Papa McKee would sing to me out of my head! "BEANS BEANS THE MAGICAL FRUIT THE MORE YOU EAT THE MORE YOU TOOT THE MORE YOU TOOT THE BETTER YOU FEEL SO HAVE BEANS AT EVERY MEAL" I think they were trying to get me to eat beans which I absolutely wouldn't!!

I thank God that I have boys- THEY LOVE THIS SONG and gladly sing it at the dinner table when we have this meal :). They also love eating beans and don't mind having it at least once a week. Being Vegetarian (yes still going strong and feeling great) has forced us to eat alot of beans and this has made for a noisy tooting household teehee!

EVERYBODY WAS KUNG FU FIGHTING!!!

Logan and Braden were KUNG FU fighting along with Kung Fu Panda! It was so cute to watch them laugh, dance and bounce. Gregg was joining in the fun as well you can see him in the background! We didn't actually watch the movie we were just listening to the music video :)

snow days

The boys were soo happy to be out of school for the past 2 days! We didn't really have much snow it was mostly ice! It was nice not to have to go anywhere. Logan was sad this morning when the boys left for the bus.

Now it is my turn to get out of the house we are quickly running out of groceries ;)

WARM AND COZY

TONIGHT WE HAD BEEF STEW - THE BOYS COMPLAIN I "NEVER" MAKE BEEF STEW! WELL I SHOWED THEM! I ALSO MADE THIS WONDERFUL ARTISAN BREAD (THANKS AUNT SHAWN), WE GOBBLED THIS WHOLE LOAF DOWN!! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR IT IS FREEZING OUT SIDE AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE I GOT TO COOK ALL DAY :)

weekend pictures

This weekend was wonderful! We had a nice relaxing Turkey day, I think this picture of Logan captures what we all felt like after dinner :)

Here is a picture of one of Zach's art projects last year! We found it while cleaning out the closet :) We did alot of cleaning and put out all our Christmas stuff! Pictures coming soon :)

I guess watching cowboy movies this weekend didn't help with Logan's gun obsession :) We watched Tombstone, Wyatt Earp then The Alamo. YEEEHAWW

Mommy of BOYS!!!

Our neighbors asked us if we would like their HERMIT CRABS they couldn't take care of them anymore. Of course Max jumped at this opportunity! They gave us everything we need- food, tank, special molting tank (with soft sand). So I am now the proud Mom of 3 lil hermit crabs. There is the LARGE one who Max named "Zach" the middle one named "Max" and the baby one named "Logan". They are super easy to take care of but they are kind of creepy to hold sometimes they act like they are going to come out and get you! I guess I am just happy the neighbors didn't come up with a SNAKE b/c that wouldn't be happening!!
