Santa Claus is Coming to Town

Violet and Lyla got to see Santa today.  I was too lazy to scan the picture, so I literally just took a picture of the picture.  Sorry for the poor quality, but after 4 or 5 hours of finishing up my Christmas shopping, scanning just seems too hard.  Violet was so ready to ask Santa for candy for her Christmas present, but she was a little shy.  After her picture, she yelled to Santa, "Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!" That was so adorable.  Now, the family and I are going to curl up and watch one of my favorite holiday movies, Elf.

Christmas was absolutely wonderful. Violet had a wonderful time and received some really fun gifts.  I hope everyone had a magical holiday. Ugh, I am not ready to go back to work. My break has been so relaxing despite my recent stomach flu adventure which left me bed ridden for most of the week. Yay for sickness! 

Violet has been a climbing fool.  She is learning new words everyday.  Today, she learned how to say "ball," but she will only whisper the word. It is absolutely hilarious.  She loves to read and draw (pictures to come).  Love you all.

Fancy Christmas PARTY

Max's teacher Mrs. Knight has a fancy fancy dinner at her house every year! The kids have been talking about this since the first of the year! Well, it was so nice they got to ride a school bus to her house and it was set up beautiful. All of us homeroom Mom's cooked and served the food and drinks :) Then after the fancy dinner and Christmas carols we went to the game room and played games and exchanged gifts. The children had such a good time :) All the other kids in the school were jealous that they had this fancy smancy lunch :)

FOUND

I found this lovely Nativity set from a garage sale for $5! Sad to say we didn't have one so I was on a mission. It is in perfect condition handmade and the instructions are in German. All I need are skinny candles to make it turn :) My Mom had one similar to this when we were growing up! However, I can't put it anywhere but on top of my bedroom dresser. Logan loves it and wants to take off all the delicate pieces.

Violet's Stocking

Inspired by Molly's stocking and Maura's felt ornaments, I decided to make my own stocking for Violet. I used the pattern from this website: http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=11054 and added some old vintage Christmas buttons. I tried to embroider Violet's name. It is not great since it was my first attempt, but at least I tried right. Also is a picture of my Christmas tree. I love this time of year so much.
