Daddy's home!

We are so happy to say that the surgery went great! Gregg spent 2 days in the rehab hospital and we got to pick him up on Saturday! Now we are just waiting a couple weeks to make sure the bones fused in his neck then we can relax a little more.

The ladies at church brought me one large tub and 3 bags full of yarn!! I swear I will never have to buy yarn again!! Oh and they gave us several meals so I don't even have to think about cooking :)
We have all been super tired, it is all I can do to get up and throw dinner in the oven. I didn't realize I would be sooo exhausted! I think the stress has taken it's toll on all of us. I want to THANK everyone for their thoughts and prayers :)

Thanks to everyone
Thanks to everyone for all their positive thoughts and prayers for Eric. He is doing much better, and is even at work today. He still is fighting off this virus and has to take it easy for a month, but all in all, he is feeling pretty good. The cardiologist said his heart looked good and strong, so there is no damage done from this virus. Here are a few pictures of Violet coloring in her tutu. These pictures just make me smile.

Knitting MADNESS

OKAY I am the most frustrated knitter right NOW!! I followed the pattern EXACTLY how it stated in this stupid book!!! Then I figured out that OH I need to do this 2 times to make a complete BEANIE! OK I can do that so 2 days later we have a YAM AKA!! It looks nothing like the cute beanie hat the girls are wearing in the picture of this stupid book!! So I am going to find another pattern and maybe just maybe in a couple of days I will have knitted an actual HAT!!!!!!!! AAAARRGGGHHHH!

SMALL BEANIE

Ok when I started this project yesterday there were 2 patterns to choose from- small or large. I chose small b/c I have never made it before and I thought it meant small as in small head! Well, I am finished and small I guess means baby just out of the womb small!! But it is finished and I am quickly getting the needles warmed up to make a large one that will actually fit on a head. My husband shaved his head last night so I am knitting him a cap today!!!! Hopefully large means large and it will fit!
Little miss Violet I was going to send it to you but I don't think it will fit on your tiny head either so...maybe you can put it on one of your dolls!!

for my Dad!
I just finished this scarf for my Dad! It is a lil late for Christmas but he has lots of cold weather ahead with his travels. I didn't think I would finish this as quickly as I did so NOW I need to find a good pattern for hats!! I am going to start making caps for cancer patients for our sewing ministry at church. This will keep my hands and my mind busy while my husband goes through major neck surgery on the 15th.

merry christmas...
Christmas was absolutely wonderful. Violet had a wonderful time and received some really fun gifts. I hope everyone had a magical holiday. Ugh, I am not ready to go back to work. My break has been so relaxing despite my recent stomach flu adventure which left me bed ridden for most of the week. Yay for sickness!
Violet has been a climbing fool. She is learning new words everyday. Today, she learned how to say "ball," but she will only whisper the word. It is absolutely hilarious. She loves to read and draw (pictures to come). Love you all.
