look how my garden grows

Zachary won an award last night

Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Certificate of OUTSTANDING Academic Performance
We are so PROUD of him :) Of course my camera was blinking and didn't get the picture of him shaking hands with the principal.

Chives and Cherry Tomato's are growing very well despite all the thunderstorms!

Pretty flowers the boys bought me as an early Mother's day :)

Wow I can't believe I grew these from seeds! I am so proud of my plants and my children everything is growing so nicely.

OOOh these are vining flowers!! I had to re-pot them and now I have a wire stand that they can grow up. Hope all you Mommies out there have a wonderful day on Sunday :)

Sowing the seeds of LOVE

I am starting the new growing season today :) We are going to grow Basil, Cilantro, Chives, Rosemary, Parsley and Flowers. My friend Stephanie and Queen of the FORREST let me in on a new watering tip- fill the sink up with room temp water and set the pods or planters in the water and let the water soak up from the bottom. This would work on all house plants too b/c the water would soak straight to the roots. Let house plants soak in the water for an hour or so and you don't have to water them for weeks :)
All my seeds have been planted and my containers are in my window sill, I am so excited!! Once they start to sprout I will transplant them into my outside boxes. These containers are so nice because they go straight into the window box and decompose ;)

my favorite time

I love MARCH not only because it is my birth month but it is also the beginning of spring. I am excited about the new growing season, thanks to my friend and neighbor Stephanie :) She is truly QUEEN OF THE FORREST and she gladly helps me with all my gardening. If it weren't for her help last year I surely would have killed all my plants and herbs.
This is also time for a new soccer season- Max is so thrilled to playing this year, it is his absolute favorite thing to do lately and a bunch of our neighbors are playing too so he gets plenty of practice.
My birthday plans are underway my wonderful hubby has made an appointment (yes HE actually called) for a 1 hour full body massage after that I have a hair appointment. Oh a day of beauty I am sooo excited!. I will have to make my OWN birthday dessert however and I have no idea what I should make!! I was thinking maybe some Carmel Brownies like my cousin made on BAKE AT 350. I will take any suggestions :)
We are still very happy VEGETARIANS, I have enjoyed the challenges in the kitchen. My body however has been FREAKING with this new change, all I am going to say is we are very bloated :)

LOOOGAAAAAN UH OH

Logan pulled off every single lil green tomato that was growing this weekend. I caught him throwing them off the balcony. There are 2 or 3 lil ones left in the back of the plant. I am setting these by the window sill I don't no why maybe just maybe they will ripen and turn RED! Ok- I know I am going to need to make fried green tomatoes or something.

He also got a hold of our phone book and decided to rip the pages out! Oh LOOGAAN!!

freshness

I love picking fresh herbs everyday! My mint is growing like CRAZY :) See the lil peppers to the side Max and his buddy Mark picked those for me after they had a pepper eating contest (I don't think they realized how HOT they were teeehee). My pepper plant is finally producing so many peppers it is amazing!

30 pounds!!!!!

I have lost 30 pounds! I secretly weighed myself at my father in laws house yesterday (as I don't have a scale in my house) it was hard to keep my excitement to myself. So here is a picture of me today and hopefully in another 6 months I will have lost another 30 pounds!! I still have alot of work to do :) I am back to running only like a mile a day and I try to wake up early before it gets too hot!
Here are pictures of our "Early Girl" tomato plant we have counted seven so far :) We can't wait for some fresh tomatoes :)
Here are my herbs they are growing so fast! Does anyone have suggestions on trimming and drying these wild things? All tips will be appreciated :)

Finally here are my flowers and parsley! They were much more beautiful before this harsh storm the other day :)

LITTLE GARDEN

Here is my lil herb window box. I have Basil, Cilantro, Dill, Rosemary, Hot peppers, and they accidentally gave me Stevia!! I don't know what I am going to do with Stevia but I am growing it anyway! I am so excited to use these herbs in my dinners :)
Here is my "Early Girl" tomato plant! Maybe the boys will eat tomatoes from our new lil plant!
I hope that they grow well :) I have 2 good friends ( my walking buddies) that are good at growing plants and gardens so they are helping me giving me good advise. I usually over water so... we will see

Just thought this picture was funny he has a mouth full of banana!!
