Injured :(


I have been running every morning yes I said RUNNING 2 miles then I walk 2 miles with my friends. Yesterday on my run Logan threw out a SHRIEK toy and I stepped right on it. I twisted my ankle scrapped my elbow and leg all up. OUCH not only was I so sad that ankle was in terrible pain but my running would have to be on hold for several weeks. Any suggestions on workouts that don't involve using my ankle :( Guess I will do Yoga and Pilate's ARGGH!

ouch! looks like that hurts. that is awesome that you have been running and walking. I need to get on a good schedule now that school is out. I bet the ankle will be better soon if you ice it. Hope it feels better soon!

Oh!Michaela. So sorry to hear about your injury. Maybe work on some strength training, and yes to yoga and pilates. I will call you this weekend. Today is my last day at metro and I get a 2 hour massage today for mom's day!!!! i am so excited. I love you. I hope you feel better soon. stupid shrek.

Really Michaela! Take it easy for a while and do those pilates and Yoga. They are so good for you. It is great that you have gotten so in shape. You keep me wanting to get going more. Hoepfully your ankle will heal soon.

Ben did the same thing in March. He tripped and fell down a ravine. After getting x-rays to make sure it wasn't broken, he carried on running. They told him it wouldn't do any more damage. (His ankle and whole foot was HUGE with a purple-black discoloration that went from the bottom of his foot up his leg.) He only ran 60 miles that first week, but carried on his usual 85 miles the next week. So, his advice is "run through it." It worked for him, he didn't want to take the time off because of all the races he had this spring!

WELL BEN IS TOUGHER THAN ME. 80 MILES WHOA I CAN'T IMAGINE AND I REALLY CAN'T IMAGINE TRYING TO RUN THROUGH THE PAIN RIGHT NOW ARRGGH. STUPID SHREK IS RIGHT!!!
