Merry Christmas to all...

Logan was enjoying the Christmas cookies :)

Max helped me decorate Christmas tree cookies for Santa. The boys are waiting patiently they want to open their Christmas eve gift.

I think we will have a few cookies tonight with some hot chocolate while listening to our Ray Charles Christmas album. Santa doesn't need all of them :) We are traveling to South Carolina tomorrow and we will be gone for 9 days! So Merry Christmas to all...

and to all a GOOD NIGHT!

Sneakin' in the BOYS room!!!

Logan has this wonderful gift for noticing when the boys leave their bedroom door open! He can even tell when the door isn't closed all the way and he just pushes it open.

Usually the boys catch him before he gets to their room and they slam the door in his poor little face. :(

He must know that there is all kinds of fun stuff to choke on :) I caught him lots this weekend and he seems to try and crawl faster when he knows he is caught! And when he actually gets in he is so happy and goes straight for the lost Lego's on the floor!

New Hair Do's

Tara cut her hair 10 inches yes I said 10! She donated her hair to Locks of Love for cancer patients! So someone out there is going to get a wonderful wig! I think she looks great! It is nice to make a change and your hair is the easiest thing to change!!

Here is a picture of my new hair style! I DECIDED after long thought to get my hair permed and then maybe it would be easier to fix everyday! Wash and Scrunch! So far I love it! I haven't had a perm since the early 90's so I am liking it as you can tell :)

ice storm photos

pictures from around our neighborhood.
from 41st street on our drive to mom's.

another neighborhood shot.

our back yard - it is actually worse today - if you can believe it. our shed is now crushed by a tree limb.

our fence.

barely missing our car. today, there is like half our tree's limbs right where eric's car is now. our street is almost impassable.

still no power. we are at mom's who has power and a fireplace. we are so thankful we have a place to go. so many friends are in the dark and cold. this ice storm is really devastating. but at least our house and cars have managed to avoid being missed by the massive tree limbs that keep falling. keep your fingers crossed that it stays that way.

O' little Christmas tree

Notice the pack n play blocking Logan from the tree :)

Here is our mini tree! It is only 4 ft. and has wonderful snowflake decorations that Max and I made the other day. I was not creative like my sister and cousin and just found this stocking (prob. from Papa and Grandma Lyn's house) So Logan gets the 101 Dalmatians stocking, Max gets Sponge Bob and Zachary has the cool Harry Potter one :) Christmas is coming!!

Violet's Stocking

Inspired by Molly's stocking and Maura's felt ornaments, I decided to make my own stocking for Violet. I used the pattern from this website: http://jas.familyfun.go.com/arts-and-crafts?page=CraftDisplay&craftid=11054 and added some old vintage Christmas buttons. I tried to embroider Violet's name. It is not great since it was my first attempt, but at least I tried right. Also is a picture of my Christmas tree. I love this time of year so much.

Mich's Thanksgiving pics

Logan and lil Lyla
Logan loved seeing both his lil girl cousins. He tried to grab Violet's face off at one point but she tried to bite his hand so she is good at defending herself :)

All Dad's grandchildren

We had such a good time at the Mckee acreage for this Thanksgiving Holiday. It was so good to see Tori it had been too long. Logan just loved Nana! Unfortunately on Saturday and Sunday I was very sick and didn't take any pictures :(

red rover red rover violet rolls over

So violet rolled over for the first time Nov. 3, but has recently decided that rolling over is something she wants to do ALL the time. She is so proud of her new trick. She will be 4 months old on the 23rd! I cannot believe how fast time flies. She is the silliest little baby. so expressive and fun.
I want to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving. I am so thankful that all of us McKees are communicating in blogsville. It means so much to me to be able to reconnect with family. I love you all.
Violet, Eric and I are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Aunt Kayla and the boys and 2 thanksgiving dinners - one at the McKee ranch and the other at Chateau Mom. mmmmm good.
I will leave you with the many faces of Violet. Enjoy.
